The Waste Action Forum (WAF) is a unique, not-for-profit organisation. We represent a broad cross-section of organisations and businesses involved in waste and resource management in the UK including local authorities, reprocessors, manufacturers and retailers.

Our aim is to strengthen the relationship between industry, the public sector and government in order to improve sustainable recycling performance and waste minimisation.

Defra Ministers Give Boost to Biogas
Fifty senior industry and NGO executives have met with Defra ministers to discuss multi-million pound plans to make greater use of anaerobic digestion – the technology which produces energy from organic material like food waste and manure. The meeting heard that the process could produce enough electricity to power two million homes. more
