The Waste Action Forum (WAF) is a unique, not-for-profit organisation. We represent a broad cross-section of organisations and businesses involved in waste and resource management in the UK including local authorities, reprocessors, manufacturers and retailers.

Our aim is to strengthen the relationship between industry, the public sector and government in order to improve sustainable recycling performance and waste minimisation.

The Ardsley House Hotel in Barnsley was host again last week to the latest Waste Action Forum on 29 and 30 June. Over 50 delegates from local authorities, reprocessors and others across the waste management industry attended. more

Less than eight years of landfill left, warn councils

Communications Hub planned for Futuresource
A full programme of debates and training sessions which aim to help waste industry professionals deal with the communications challenges facing the sector will be held as part of Europe's leading sustainability event, Futuresource 2010, at London's ExCeL on June 15-17. more
